The 2.50 system update brought a couple of new features and performance updates aiming to improve your overall experience on the PlayStation 4. In this article we shall focus on the major improvement made to Rest Mode of the PlayStation 4, namely the ability for users to quickly resume game or app when waking the console from standby.
Instead of closing opened game or app when Rest Mode is activated, your console can now put them in suspended state. This feature is disabled by default, so here's how to enable it:
Go to Settings > Power Save Settings and select Set Functions Available in Standby Mode. Tick the Keep Application Suspended checkbox.
That's it; you no longer have to worry about losing your game progression when switching to Rest Mode.
