Google Finance is live: Tell Google your portfolio

Looking for stock quotes on Google ? You would no longer be redirected to a competitor's site. Google today launched its own Google Finance website breaking it's "tabbed frames" relationship with other financial web sites like Yahoo! Finance, Fool.com, MSN Money Central and ClearStation.

Google finance portal has more interactive Flash stock charts that directly link to to news stories affecting a company's stock price. There are also links to corporate blogs, finance discussion boards (moderated) and photos of top corporate executives.

Google Finance tracks your portfolio if you have a Google Account. All you data belongs to us.

Unlike other financial Web sites, Google will not produce any of its own information, instead relying on providers like Reuters, Hoovers and Morningstar to produce their data and charts. Google will also use its own Web crawling software to integrate data, such as news, photos, blog posts and corporate Web sites.
